This is Ridge & Axle.
We document the people who live with their cars.
Not the collectors who keep them under cover. Not the influencers who pose next to them. The man who has driven the same car for thirty-one years. The woman who spent four winters restoring one. The builder who hasn’t slept properly since the engine went in.
Ridge & Axle is a European automotive media company. We make films, photographs and stories about real people and the machines they can’t let go of.We are based in the Netherlands. We work across Europe.
We document what most platforms overlook: the person, not the product.

Our mission
Ridge & Axle gives voice and platform to the people who truly live cars not as status symbols, but as passion, craft and identity.
Every film we make, every photograph we produce, every story we publish begins with a person and a reason.

Our Vision
The leading European platform for authentic car enthusiasts: a place where stories, images and experiences come together that can’t be found anywhere else.
Europe has one of the richest automotive cultures in the world. The builders, the restorers, the collectors, the drivers, the keepers, they are everywhere across this continent. Ridge & Axle is the platform built to document, connect and celebrate them.
Not the American version of car culture. Not the influencer version. The European version, with European roads, European light and European honesty.
What We Stand For
Stories First
Everything starts with a story — not a product, not a sponsor. The story of the person behind the machine. Commerce is always the consequence, never the starting point.
European DNA
No LA gloss. Industrial buildings, mountain passes, changing weather. A European character that no one else has. That’s not a limitation. That’s the brand.
Design Driven
Everything looks better than the competition. Photography, typography, colour. Ridge & Axle has an unmistakable visual signature — and maintains it across every piece of content.

Who This Is For
Ridge & Axle is for every car enthusiast in Europe. From the man who restored his father’s Alfa Romeo to the entrepreneur with a private collection he has never shared on social media.
The connecting factor is not wealth, not brand and not horsepower. It is the fact that the car means something beyond transport. That it has a story. That there is a person behind it who lives with it, not just drives it.
Where We Come From
Ridge & Axle was founded by Steyn and Robbert.
The starting point was a question: why does Europe with its richest automotive culture in the world, its mountain passes, its garage builders, its private collectors, its restorers who spend winters on a single carburetor not have a media platform that does that culture justice?
The platforms that existed were either too American, too commercial, too niched or too centred on the car rather than the person. None of them combined original filmmaking, editorial photography, community, live events and private media services under one identity. None of them had a genuinely European character.
Ridge & Axle was built to fill that gap. Not as a content factory. As a media company with a clear point of view: the person is always more interesting than the car. The story is always more important than the spec sheet.
We start in the Netherlands. We grow from there.
